Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings.
     I hope and pray all is well with you and yours.
     It has now been 35 weeks since beginning this years mission. So far we've enjoyed the privilege of sharing the gospel in song with 111 Nursing Homes and 28 Churches. To God Be The Glory!
          Monday August 30 th ~
     Ministered mid-morning at the "Granada Healthcare" facility here in Eureka, California. Then over to Dennis & Daphne's (pastors of Calvary Community) to publish the update.
     Spent a wonderful afternoon and evening of fellowship with Fred & Carolyn (elders of Calvary).
          Tuesday August 31 st ~
     Sang at the "Seaview Healthcare" nursing home for an interesting group of folks.
          Wednesday September 1 st ~
     Devoted the day to helping Dennis & Daphne move to their new place. With many hands, it went quick and smooth. 
     Attended mid-week services at "Calvary Community" and said my goodbye's in anticipation of heading out in the morning.
     What a wonderful group of Believers. A real joy to be around. May God Bless Them!
          Thursday September 2 nd ~
     Left town early, after replacing a defective turn signal/brake light on the van. Turned east and drove most the day through a pretty extensive mountain range into Sacramento, California where I hooked up with an old friend (Lawrence).
          Friday September 3 rd ~
     Spent the day visiting with Lawrence, his niece & nephew, and their kids.
     The outside temperature rose to over a hundred degrees today, which is not uncommon in this area. Thankfully these dear folks have air conditioning, to get some relief from the heat. Along about eleven o'clock at night it cools down enough to be able to sleep in the van.
          Saturday September 4 th ~
     Lawrence has donated a Duplicator to the ministry. May God Bless Him! This will allow me to Burn more than one CD at a time, saving time on assembling CD's for the nursing homes.
     Spent the morning enjoying breakfast and some more fellowship with the folks. Said my goodbye's. Then headed east through northern California into Nevada.
          Sunday September 5 th ~
     Attended services at "The Threshing Floor" church in Fallon, Nevada. Sang at the "Heritage Place" nursing home mid-afternoon. First in the activity room, then over in the Alzheimer's Unit. Got a shower at the home of one of the members (John) of the church. Then drove east to Winnemucca, Nevada. The first cool front of the season came through this part of the country in the late afternoon. Quiet a relief from the oppressive heat of the past few days.
